Welcome to Juana Briones Elementary School!
IMPORTANT DATES & UPCOMING EVENTS:
Please keep a lookout for the Back-to-School mailing from PAUSD that includes your child’s Emergency and Disaster Cards. The Welcome Back Packet from the Juana Briones PTA, which includes important school information will also be in your mail before school begins.
August 2008:
Monday, August 18th: School Office Re-opens (?) Sunday, August 24th:

Kindergarten Scavenger Hunt 3-5pm Registration for New and Returning Students* 4-6pm Welcome Back School-Wide Pasta & Potluck Dinner
PTA will provide pasta, drinks, and tableware.
Please bring a dish to share: If your last name begins with A-K: Salad, L-R: Fruit, S-Z: Dessert.
5:30-7pm Tuesday, August 26th: First Day of School First Coffee (Parents)
Meet outside the MP room. Come greet old friends and make some new ones!
8:05am *In order obtain your class placement, you will need to turn in the following completed forms:
- WHITE Emergency Card
- YELLOW Disaster Card
- GREEN Acknowledgements/Permission Form
- PINK Admit slip if you are new to the district or if you are entering Kindergarten.
Hopefully, you received these forms from the district office. If you don’t have them, please contact the district office at 650-329-3700 (or drop by at 25 Churchill Avenue).
Anyone unable to attend Registration on Sunday will need to bring their completed forms to the school office by Tuesday morning, August 26th, the First Day of School. Your child cannot be admitted to school until the above forms have been received. A staff member will be in the office Tuesday morning beginning at 7:30am to process your paperwork.
September 2008:

Ice Cream Social
Pizza, drinks, and ice cream sales begin at 5:30pm--or bring your own picnic. The entire family is welcome to join in the fun!
